After everything I lived through with my ex-husband's alcoholism, I felt this tug—an itch to share my story and help other women feel less alone. That started right after my divorce ten years ago.

I was the first of my friends to get married, the first to have a kid… and the first to get divorced. There were no guidebooks. Nothing told me how to talk to my toddlers about their dad’s drinking. Or how to take care of myself when I was still waking up at night with little ones who didn’t understand what was happening. I couldn’t find advice on how to re-enter the world as a single parent—not with tiny humans in tow.

So, I wrote the book I wished I could’ve read. It’s more memoir than manual, but my hope was always that other women would read it and think: Okay. Me too. I’m not crazy. I’m not the only one. I didn’t write it until I was on maternity leave with my third child—partly because I needed some distance from the pain we went through, but also because I wanted to offer a hopeful ending. A new chapter.

I released my book at the very end of 2019, and had grand plans to form an IG community around it. But we all remember the chaos that Covid brought into our lives, especially with kids at home. I kept it going for a long time and even managed to squeak out 2 companion guides—a journal and a guide for going through divorce.

But now I’m in a new season—three kids, three schools, and the kind of chaos only moms truly understand—so I wanted to shift gears and create something practical and encouraging. A place that feels like a deep breath. A helping hand. A little extra love in your inbox each week. Whether you're a single mom, feel like one, or just relate to the constant pressure of being the magic maker and keeper of all the things, there will be something here for you.

Pink Raccoon Company was born out of the little things I was always too tired to do when I was working full time—meal planning, bible study, evening checklists that actually work. I'm building it to take one more thing off your list, not add to it.

So if you’re navigating working motherhood, co-parenting, sports practices, school lunches, or just trying to make it to bedtime without tears (yours or theirs)… you’re not alone. I’m glad you’re here.

Let’s do “kind of together” together.
